Well, after posting at least one video a week since sometime in May, I’ve finally had this video reach over 10,000 views on Instagram, and it was the latest one I posted. My other highest viewed video has only a little over 3000 views, and has been out since June.
I don’t know what makes for a good video still, and I don’t know if I ever will, but I do know that folks seemed to really like the music in this one. I decided to parody a John Denver song (Thank God I’m a Country Boy) and make it into a jam about altering some jeans. The altering turned out all right, but the song turned out better.
I suppose I’ll have to try to build off of this, but I don’t think I can or should do a parody for every video. Seems like a lot of work.
The same video, posted on both Youtube and TikTok, only has about 1000 views on those platforms. Who knows what the secret sauce is?
Anyhow, here’s the video if you’re interested.
